  • Abstract
To improve the communication limitation in traditional linear network, this paper applied a new scheme based on Wireless Sensor Network with similar linear structure (SL-WSN). We adopted cluster-based approach and the time synchronization algorithm FTSP to accomplish the data communication within and between clusters. Furthermore, we built a new kind of super-frame to achieve the alternation of Contention Access Method (CAM) and Contention Free Method (CFM). Simulation outcomes have shown that the new scheme has significant advantages compared with the traditional linear network. Such advantages were manifested in the total number of data hops, the total communication traffic and the effective data communication rate. The result of our test suggests that, data communication in long distance SL-WSN with new super-frame structure is highly-reliable, highly-effective and low-power consumption.
