Abstract
In this research, channel estimation and equalization of turbo coded signals are delved over frequency and non-frequency selective fading channels. An innovative turbo equalization structure is depicted jointly with the iterative decoding process, which is based on performing channel equalization via double decision feedback equalizer (DDFE) designed by using non-complex least mean square algorithm (LMS). Simulation results signify that the turbo equalizer mitigates the effects of the frequency distortion and fading under certain conditions, as well as reaches the same bit error rate (BER) performance when Gaussian channel is under consideration
