  • Abstract
This paper researches on some factors that can control engine speed and develop algorithm to control the engine idle speed. By managing the intake air mass and spark advance angle together, this algorithm can make the engine running as stable as possible. Experiments on one vehicle which adopt the electronic control throttle body show that the new control algorithm provides good idle speed control.
