Abstract
Aim at the problem of single-phase ground fault for resonant grounding system (that is, arc-suppression coil grounded distribution network), a fault location algorithm based on parameter identification in the charging transient is proposed in this paper. The method uses charge transient electrical quantity generated at the moment of a single-phase ground fault occurs to identify line parameters, and takes the fault location considering that the total inductance between the bus and the fault is proportional to the distance. In a 35kV model of resonant grounding system, the efficiency is verified by simulation, with different fault distance, different fault time.
