  • Abstract
A multidimensional description of repolarization was accomplished using a 7-D vector of variables. Five of the seven selected variables exclusively quantitated five independent ´nonduration´ repolarization characteristics, while ´duration´ was quantitated by two variables representing early and late duration, respectively. Since QT and SoTm conveyed similar information and SoTm is measured more accurately (both manually and automatically), the latter replaced the former. All variables were independent of age and body surface area, five were heart-rate independent, and all except ´early duration´ were dependent of the QT interval. This multidimensional description of repolarization conveys much more information than the conventionally used QT interval.<>
