Abstract
Translating a customer need or a market opportunity into a project plan that will produce a product that satisfies the customer and still meets your budget and schedule constraints is a difficult but important task. Good planning helps in getting commitment, allocating resources, setting priorities, managing risk, and getting to market sooner. This paper will outline the steps necessary for developing plans that not only sound good but that can be also be successfully implemented. Emphasis will be given to planning within integrated product teams (IPT´s)
