  • Abstract
For pt.I see IEEE international symposium, p.248 (1989). Relationships between physical house attributes on the 20-meter radio band that are the basis for many amateur radio interference problems are discussed. These relationships of a `typical home´ were measured by erecting a house model in a suburban environment; conducted EMI (electromagnetic interference) equipment was used to measure radio frequency currents on this structure using an amateur radio transmitter as a source. The authors compare these measurements to the theoretical results presented by C.L. Smith (1989) and relate them to the mathematical model. Currents were found to be nonsymmetrical to the source antenna. Some currents were very close at the predicted riser or segment. The maximum current measured was 1.011 A and the theoretical maximum predicted was 1.045 A
