Abstract
On-board TCP (obTCP) has been shown to provide significant downloading performance improvement over TCP snoop in moving networks. In this paper, we look into the support for uploading performance of TCP. We believe that this aspect is critical for the general deployment of Internet applications on moving networks. We provide a mathematical model to measure uploading performance of TCP and validate the model with ns-2 simulations. We also compare it with TCP Snoop and show that up to 58% performance gain can be achieved over TCP Snoop.
