Abstract
Control system engineering is typically part of the undergraduate curriculum in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and sometimes chemical engineering. A remote laboratory offers a cost-effective and flexible means for students to share access to physical experiments, but at a same time introduces an additional layer of user interface. The paper presents the implementation and preliminary assessment of introducing an Internet-based remote laboratory component to one such course at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
