Abstract
Cresylic are solvents for a broad range of wire enamel formulations. These are typically mixtures of cresylic isomers, primarily cresols, xylenols and ethylphenols. A survey of high solids polyester and polyester-imide formulations prepared using various cresylic acids is described. The variations in viscosity and solvency power are evaluated and compared
