  • Abstract
To investigate the effects of solasodine hydrochloride (SBHL) on tumor growth and its anti-tumor immune response mechanisms. Methods: S180, tumor-bearing mice were treated by intraperitoneal injection of SBHL [10, 30, 50 mg / (kg.d)], after a continuous injection of 14 days, tumor growth and the effects of SBHL on immune functions were observed. Results : SBHL significantly inhibited the growth of S180 sarcoma, positively regulated the inhibited immune function of S180, also promoted the lymphocyte proliferation and increased IL-2 production capacity and enhanced NK and LAK cell activity. Conclusion : These results suggested that SBHL can inhibit tumor growth; the immune enhancement effects of SBHL may exert its anti-tumor effects of an important way.
