  • Abstract
    The aim of this paper is to investigate the current situation of mid-and-low income households´ medical demand in Jilin City and find some problems between medical demands and medical service. Finally, proposes some specific strategies to these problems in order to improve our country´s medical health reform system. The data getting from questionnaires which are distributed to 315 mid and low income households of Jilin City with the help of software SPSS13 are analyzed. High medical expense is a heave burden among the mid-and-low income households; basic medical insurance for urban residents has poor effectiveness; the residents lack of the understanding of medical insurance; the function of community medical service organization is not fully displayed. Our suggestions include fulfilling government duties, strengthening publicity, enhancing community health service, and implementing residents´ medical cares are some effective ways to improve medical demands of our country´s mid-and-low income households.
