Abstract
Multi channel Wi-Fi sniffer is a system level solution that is scalable and modular, where the device can be used to sniff all the channels in 2.4 GHz ISM (Industrial Scientific and Medical) radio band and multiple channels in 5 GHz wireless spectrum simultaneously. The aim of the work is to provide intelligence support and detection of threats on open wireless networks. Since the device can sniff all the channels simultaneously, there is no chance of missing packets in a particular channel. Also in the suggested solution, there is no overhead of switching channels as in the case of existing single channel sniffer implementations.
