  • Abstract
In order to solve the limitation of existed routing protocol in balancing the tolerance to failures and attacks towards wireless sensor network, we design a robust routing protocol based on complex networks theory, which can adjust the self organization clustering evolution in terms of a threshold function with three coefficient alpha, beta and lambda, where a represent number of hops from source node to base station, beta characterizes the signal intensity dependent on path loss coefficient. Since the construction of scale-free networks differs from that of random networks in that it involves preferential attachment, it means the new nodes are prone to connect with the heavy node with more degree of connectivity. To control the clustering coefficient of WSN, we introduce another parameter, lambda corresponding to preferential attachment. The parameter lambda governs how nodes are selected for connection once they have already been added. Therefore we can regulate the random and scale-free property of WSN under the constraints of energy resource through adjusting a, beta and lambda. Simulation results show that our protocol can increase survivability of WSN facing different sorts of failures.
