Abstract
A design method is proposed with network physical stratification and logical grouping for hierarchical network. Mathematical models of functions of stability measurement, multiple queuing transmissions, constraint function of optimization and logical weight of nodes are introduced to describe the hierarchical network. According to the functions of stability measurement, the physical stratification is proposed to separate the hierarchical network into subnets. Based on the multiple queuing transmissions, the logical grouping is proposed to optimize the scale of subnets and the location and number of gateways. By simulations, the effectiveness of stratification and grouping is verified.
