Abstract
This paper investigates the rescheduling algorithm for steelmaking continuous casting in integrated steel production environment. Steelmaking-continuous casting rescheduling problem is modeled as a dynamic constraint satisfaction problem. The inconsistencies caused by the machine failure events are incrementally repaired by variable selection and value selection algorithm. In order to minimize the change extent in the revised solution, both the heuristic information in original schedule and some randomness are introduced into variable selection and value selection strategies to conduct the search order and to widen the search area. Simulation experiments show that the proposed model and algorithm perform well: changes in rescheduling solution are minimal, the stability and the continuity of production system can be maintained.
