Abstract
The authors outline the major cosite interference mechanisms in a frequency-hopping radio system. A model based on analysis and measured data is used to accurately predict these effects. The model can also be used to evaluate cosite improvement devices, such as frequency-hopping (FH) filters and adaptive interference cancelers. An example cosite problem involving single-channel ground and airborne radio systems (SINCGARS) is evaluated with the model. The potential performance gains using FH filters are investigated for this example
