Abstract
Null Space Pursuit (NSP) is a novel adaptive decomposition method based on singular local linear operator theory. Similary to empirical mode decomposition (EMD), NSP decomposes a signal into a series of local narrow band signals adaptively. This paper employed the numerical methods to investigate the influence of NSP initial values of parameters and to reveal the resolution between NSP initial values and their corresponding frequency resolution; finally the paper compares the decomposition results of EMD and NSP.
