  • Abstract
    The large-signal characteristics of a three-module DC-DC converter is investigated under two different current-mode control (CMC) schemes. The converter which is intended for high-voltage low-current applications consists of three identical buck-derived modules connected in series across a common load. The effect of varying the number of the series connected modules on the large-signal behavior, and the possibility of having an imbalance in the output voltage level of the modules are also addressed. Averaged large-signal models are developed for both schemes and the results are compared with the more accurate pulse-by pulse-simulations using PSpice
