  • Abstract
    A simple semi-analytical method is presented to calculate the resonance frequencies in an asymmetric TEM cell by estimating the equal inhomogeneous transmission line resonance frequencies for the conditions of open circuit and short circuit at the terminal. The moment method is used to calculate the capacitance of the cross-section; then the characteristic impedance along the transverse axis is obtained. The numerical results are obtained for presentation in a table by solving the combined equation of the transmission line impedance transfer equation and terminal input impedance expression for gas capacitance.
