  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. In recent years, significant research attention has been focused on organic materials, especially conjugated polymers due to their intrinsic emissive properties. A stilbazolium organic salt, styrylpyridinium cyanine dye (SPCD) has also been previously shown to have the ability to efficiently produce spectrally narrowed laserlike output upon optical pumping without any external cavity. We have synthesized and characterized spectral-narrowing and mirrorless laserlike emission for a novel organic salt, 4´-diethylamino-N-methyl-4-stilbazolium p-toluene-sulfonate (DEST).
