Abstract
Many projects fail because when things start going wrong they cannot easily be rectified, and the problems are compounded because the right people are not available or involved in the project and the right systems are not in place. Only by creating a project infrastructure at the initiation stage of the project can this hazard be minimised or avoided. The paper discusses the issues involved and presents the important aspects of a project infrastructure
