  • Abstract
    A novel controlling means of introducing a given phase-shift in the fiber Bragg grating (FBG) with a uniform period phase mask was introduced, and at the same time a three-level mechanical displacement platform based on piezoelectric ceramic was developed in order to precisely control the motivation of the phase mask, which will ensure the given phase-shift to be lead into the exposure section of the fiber. By the experimental verification, the transmittance of the transmission peak in the stop band is enhanced markedly. In a conclusion, this is a simple process realizing phase shift fiber gratings.
