Abstract
Summary form only given. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) has been used to study the geometry and internal structure of objects. It is based on a Michelson interferometer with an optical broadband source. This method has to change the optical path length of a reference arm to match with that of a sample arm. However, since its reference mirror must be continuously moved for depth scans, it requires a long time because it is limited by mechanical movement speed. The reported maximum speed for longitudinal scans is 21 m/s using a rotating cube and prism. W e proposed an ultra high scanning speed OCT using two optical frequency comb generators (OFCG) without any moving parts. Our system includes OFCG1 in the object arm and OFCG2 in the reference arm of usual interferometer instead of a moving a reference mirror.
