Abstract
A subpixel edge on-line detecting system using the point Hough transform algorithm and least square fitting method for the inner diameter of bearings was developed. Machine vision system, for the pre-processed edge image and computer image processing technology are used in the new system. This new technique can overcome the shortages of existing approaches and the accuracy in the new method can meet the precision requirement of the inner diameter of a bearing through robust 100 percent inspection. The system including hardware and software for machine vision system and operation principle are introduced in detail and then some results are presented. Finally conclusions and further research work are discussed.
