  • Abstract
Over the past two years, advances in using the time reversal technique for titanium inspection have been made. Several improvements were developed for the detection of small defects located in the center of large titanium billets. We have conceived a very efficient refocusing process in the receive mode that combines the signals of the first and second time-reversed iterations. We will also show how an optimal choice of the first illumination beam can greatly improve the detection of small defects in deep zones
