Abstract
A systematic method is presented for designing discrete-time control systems. The method retains the systems´ stability and guarantees minimum performance deterioration in the presence of a wide range of deterministic and stochastic disturbance/perturbation effects. This robustification process results in the modification of the Riccati equations used in the design of linear quadratic regulators. Conditions guaranteeing the existence and stabilizing properties of this robust controller are presented
