  • Abstract
This paper deals with the computation of protection margins for co-channel indoor systems. Starting from classical GO/UTD (geometrical optics/uniform theory of diffraction) simulations with EPICS/G attenuation, margins are computed for low-frequency systems (433 MHz and 2.4 GHz). From those results protection margins are determined to allow estimations of the channel separations depending on the modulation techniques used. To determine this separation for classical FM and AM modulation ITU-R recommendations are used and a DS-SS (direct sequence spread spectrum) SIMULINK emulator has been written to determine the BER for a BPSK modulated radio interface
