  • Abstract
    We describe a statistical model for the multipath intensity profile (MIP) in residential environments. The work is based on over 300,000 frequency response measurements at 712 locations in 23 homes. We show that, for non-line-of-sight (NLS) path, the MIP is well-modeled as a decaying exponential vs. delay, multiplied by a lognormal process over delay; and that a similar model applies to line-of-sight (LOS) paths. Moreover, we present simple statistical descriptions for the parameters of these functions.
