Abstract
The analysis, design, and simulation of a load control system for an industrial tie tester are discussed. A nonlinear state-space-like representation of the system is developed for system evaluation and design. It is shown that a linearizing feedback control law may be obtained using linear system theory. Simulation results are included to demonstrate the tractability of the control system design being proposed.<>
