Abstract
Swarm Intelligence (SI) is a relatively new paradigm being applied in a host of research settings to improve the management and control of large numbers of interacting entities such as communication and more. Swarm intelligence was originally used to describe the collective behavior that emerges from a group of social insects. Previous research suggested that collaboration and transactive memory system had great influence on team performance which is largely related to swarm intelligence. This paper summarized the influence of collaboration and transactive memory system on swarm intelligence and analyzed the dimensions of these three conceptions. Implications of the study of collaboration and transactive memory system on swarm intelligence were also discussed.
