  • Abstract
Propagation of wavefronts representing blood pressure and flow in the human arterial system have been measured and analyzed by their electrical counterpart relationship as impedance. Also, the combination of the derivative components of these wavefronts gives rise to compression, expansion, and reflective waves similar to that of a nonlinear electrical transmission line. Instead of a real time display for these waves on a monitor for technical interpretation of the conditions of the arterial system at a particular site, we propose an alternative display which is presented in a visual form which can be easily interpreted by pattern recognition for analysis of the system at the measurement site
