Abstract
The EWSD switching system has been supplemented by the introduction of a new coordination processor, the CP113, using a high-performance multiprocessor architecture. Introducing a multiprocessor architecture in an evolutionary way was possible because of the EWSD software architecture and its high degree of modularity. The CP113 software architecture and the aspects of CHILL that has allowed the smooth adaptation to the CP113 are described
