  • Abstract
    The matter-element model of a mission is put forward. The extension similar method to construct the similar mission of a mission is studied with emphasis on the comparability synthesis assessment. It is applied to infer the maintenance manpower requirement of a new mission from the data of the known similar mission. The dependent function values are regard as the quantitative indexes to assess the similar degree between the missions. So, the forecast veracity of the maintenance manpower requirement is improved. The application of this method is illustrated with an example of an aerial defence mission. The requirement forecasted is in good agreement with the fact.
