Abstract
In this paper, the authors show that the use of CCD technology allows high resolution temperature imaging, image processing and provides further information, mainly a linear response versus temperature which will enable real-time implementation. Their measurement system, based on CCD technology, leads to better performances in the steel industry. CCD technology does not require a substantial cost and provides a lot of paramount information enabling the optimization of some industrial applications based on accurate relative temperature measurements
