Abstract
To solve the limitation of the current testing system for dial gauge, this paper proposes a machine vision-based automatic test instrument system. The system´s test principle and structure are presented. Through the key image process algorithm, the dial gauge indicator automatic identification by machine is realized. By comparing the feed value provided by precision feeding mechanism with the actual reading of the instrument, it accomplishes the automatic examination. The experiment proves that this method can be applied in the production as its fast speed and high accuracy.
