Abstract
The current status of the approach being taken in the ADVANCE project to estimate and measure link travel times in the test area is described. A brief review of the representation of link profiles in the Mobile Navigational Assistant (MNA) installed in the test vehicles is presented, followed by a discussion of the estimation of initial static profiles (link travel times) with a network flow model. A discussion of the estimation of link travel times form link flow-occupancy data is given.
