Abstract
The principles of radiopositioning by satellite are presented, together with a description of the principal systems presently implemented or contemplated for the future. These include STARFIND, STARFIX, SAT/TRAC, GEOSTAR/LOCSTAR, DORIS, ARGOS, and OmniTRACS.
