  • Abstract
Aiming at the diversities and spreading of chemical plant and monitoring and controlling systems brought about by scaling-up the production of chemical plant enterprises, a new type of chemical plant process monitoring and controlling system (S&C) based on multi-agent technology is proposed. The heterogeneous chemical plant machines and software systems are interconnected through fieldbus under the framework of hierarchy structure and their functions of heterogeneous networks integration are implemented by the multi-agent technology. Furthermore, the model and framework of multi- agents of different layers are discussed. This multi-agent based system can be integrated with different ERP systems, process management systems and chemical plant control systems, thus realizing the integration of enterprise management and control function, and quick change manufacturing (QCM).
