Abstract

The presented 2.4-to-60 GHz module described in this paper is a successful demonstrator of a generic, multi-purpose, and small-size transmit/receive module. The module is a versatile design that can be used for many different applications where a seamless 2.4-to-60 GHz transmission is desirable. Transmission of 48 Mbps secure WLAN communication in line-of-sight (LOS), reflected, and partly obscured operation has been successfully demonstrated using commercial 2.4 GHz 802.11b and 802.11g WLAN cards.
