  • Abstract
Polyaniline deposited BaTiO3 (BT@PANI) nanoparticles were synthesized successfully and BT@PANI filled PVDF composites were prepared through a simple blending and hot-press procedure. The results showed that there was no obvious percolation phenomenon in the BT@PANI filled PVDF composite. When the BaTiO3@PANI weight fraction reached 80wt%, the dielectric constant increased to an ultra high value of 4500 while the loss remained at a relative low value of 1.62 at 1 kHz. Meanwhile, the conductivity of the composite was around 5.0×10-5 S/m, meaning that no conducting pathway has formed in the whole system. The ultra high constant was mainly attributed to the large interfacial polarization at interfaces between different phases when the BT@PANI loading was high.
