Abstract
We provide a model of a multiagent system for distributed transactions. We examine how to adequately capture concurrency and synchronization issues and use real-time programming techniques in modelling multiagent-based transaction applications. This paper provides problem-oriented abstraction mechanisms necessary to model database transaction systems in distributed multiagent-based environments using a framework that is both event-based and causally aware. The Web´s inherent characteristics provide a natural and suitable problem domain environment for modelling and reasoning about distributed multiagent-based transactions.
