Abstract
In this study, we describe a performance improvement method of the long range navigation (Loran) system in the field of the accurate timing when it is compensated with propagation time delay and errors. For achieving timing accuracy improvement, first we measured the additional secondary factor (ASF) from a Loran transmitting station to KRISS (Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science), and in order to improve the timing precision, we compensated the diurnal time variation with a modeling.
