Abstract
In this study, a genetic tracker is proposed for multi-sensor single target tracking. The data association problem formulated as an N dimensional assignment problem is solved by using a genetic algorithm. The performance of the proposed genetic tracker and the effect of the multiple sensors on the tracking performance are presented for nonmanoeuvring and manoeuvring target trajectories. It was observed that the genetic tracker can successfully be used for single target tracking and tracking performance of the genetic tracker increases when multiple sensors are used.
