  • Abstract
    SDH digital cross-connect (SDXC) is one of the most important network elements in SDH optical transport network. It can realize the effective network management, reliable network protection/recovery, automatic connection layout and realtime check and control of the SDH network. And the SDXC matrix is the core module of the SDXC system, so the design of 2 times 2 SDXC matrix is introduced. The exchange principle of the SDXC matrix is described first, then the exchange process is analyzed. Based this, the design scheme, functional configuration and circuit realization of the matrix are discussed mainly. Finally, the tool of VCS of Synopsys verifies the correctness of the design and Design-vision of Synopsys synthesizes it. The functional testing and synthesis results show that the 2 times 2 cross-connect matrix is an optimized design with perfect function and that it is realizable.
