  • Abstract
    Analysis of microstrip line based PBG structures with a semiconductor substrate are presented. Various topologies of PBG structures, like ring pattern and split ring pattern on the ground plane of the microstrip line, have been investigated and their S parameters, simulated by Ansoft´s HFSS 8.0, are given. Also, the dispersion characteristics of all the structures have been studied and the attenuation constant and propagation constant are presented.
