Abstract
In this paper, an unconditionally stable 2-D FDTD algorithm based on wave equation has been presented. Unlike the original laguerre-FDTD method, this proposed scheme is based on the scalar wave equations, which requires less memory resources yet provides faster computation time. Numerical example has been included to illustrate its advantage on efficiency and performance.
