Abstract
For study of the effect of concentration of Ca2+ on the working memory of neuronal microcircuitry in the prefrontal cortex (PFC), we recorded the activity potentials of three kinds of microcircuits in "normal" and "physiological" solution, and simulated the different activity potentials with the leaky integrate-and-fire model. The results indicate that there is short-term depression for all kinds of neuronal connection (p-p,p-np and np-p) and the effect of Ca2+ concentration on short-term depression is due to the changing of the release probability per vesicle at presynptic terminals.
