Abstract
Google Earth is a powerful geographic browser for viewing, creating, and sharing interactive files containing highly visual location-specific information. It allows the learners for collaborative learning and communion to share images, place marks, shapes, and folder data with other participants. This paper elaborates its applications in education from mainly three aspects (i.e., network learning platform, making teaching materials, and assisted classroom instruction). Finally, the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River in Chinese textbooks is used to illustrate its application.
