Abstract
A novel design of microstrip patch antenna resonating at 2.45 GHz for active RFID card is being proposed. Ansoft HFSS 9.0 is employed for simulation and optimization. Simulation results match the theoretical predictions, through optimization, the system performance meets the requirements for RFID system, such as directivity, gain, radiation efficiency. Compared with the traditional design, the new design proposed in this paper costs less, easily realized, and more reliable.
